The Vissou story

In order to explore the mysteries of nature and the richness of this area's exceptional heritage, passing walkers, hikers and curious visitors can enjoy a break and take this trail of discovery that winds its way up to the Vissou ridges.

The winegrowers association of the 'Languedoc Cabrières' AOP  will gladly share their passion for the area with you.  During this appproximately three hour long outing, surrounded by a wealth of natural scenery, you will learn all about the history of the close connection between this unique area and the men and women who shape it.

From time immemorial, this connection has tied man to his environment, and made him guardian of all these wonders.  Man is responsible for maintaining a balance between the natural landscapes and the land which produces the nectar that is its precious wine.  The Romans were already taken with the heady flavour of the local wine.
